COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - A community tip has yielded some big results for Richland County as the sheriff's department has revealed details of a large narcotics bust in Columbia.
Sheriff Leon Lott says narcotics agents with department conducted a search warrant on May 16 at a house on Trader Mill Road. Lott says agents found 83 marijuana plants, plastic storage containers with marijuana inside, and hash inside the home.
The bust also came with the arrest of 29-year-old Andrew R. Angel. Lott says Angel was extremely crafty in his choice of disguising the drugs as some of the marijuana was found in the freezer, inside a butter container in the refrigerator as well as marijuana being baked into a brownie loaf.
Angel stands charged with manufacturing marijuana and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
