CLEMSON, SC (WIS) - Despite the cold, many came out Saturday morning to cheer on the Clemson Tigers in the national championship parade.
Chris Smith, who lives in Lexington and went to the parade said, “I woke up by three o’clock and we left around four, and we got here around seven.”
Another fan tells WIS “If something’s going on at Clemson, we are going to get in the car and ride up.”
Many who came out were decked out in purple and orange.
Heather Byrd tells WIS she met her husband at Clemson and named their daughter after the school.
“We have a daughter that Dabo introduced to the world and the rest is history,” Byrd said.
Regardless who is the “biggest” fan, many say it’s about the camaraderie.
“It’s family, I mean Dabo talks about it it’s for fans it’s for everyone it is one big family it’s the town atmosphere, the football atmosphere the college town atmosphere and you just can’t get it anywhere else,” Marcia Bacon, a Clemson fan said.
