Gamecocks cruise past Florida to stretch win streak to 7 games

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Four of South Carolina’s five starters ended the night in double figures as the No. 21 Gamecocks picked up their seventh straight win this season with a 71-40 victory over Florida.

Bianca Cuevas-Moore led Carolina in her first start of the year with 16 points. The senior was 4-of-7 from beyond the arc. Alexis Jennings provided 13 points and eight rebounds for USC while Mikiah Herbert Harrigan finished with 11 points. Tyasha Harris chipped in with 10 points and eight assists.

The Gamecocks held the Gators to just 25 percent from the floor.

The win is Carolina’s 10th consecutive victory over the Gators.

South Carolina is now 11-4 overall with a 3-0 record in SEC play. They’ll return to action on Sunday when they travel to LSU for a 5 p.m. showdown.
