COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Heads up! Friday is an Alert Day. Isolated thunderstorms are possible in the Midlands.

First Alert Weather Headlines:

· Friday is an Alert Day.

· A strong cold front will bring rain that could be heavy at times. Localized flooding is possible.

· Isolated thunderstorms are also possible Friday.

· Slightly cooler weather is expected behind the front along with some sunshine for the weekend.

First Alert Weather Story:

A strong cold front is expected to swing through the Midlands Friday, giving way to rain that could be heavy at times. We’ll likely have to dodge some localized flooding. We could see about 1-1.5″ inches of rain on Friday.

The front could also bring a few isolated thunderstorms into the Midlands. We’ll have to watch it closely as the week progresses. Right now, the threat for severe weather is low, but we’ll let you know if there are any changes.

High temperatures will be in the low to mid 60s.

Once the front passes, we’ll see sunshine for your weekend and highs in the 60s.
