COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Just hours before the New Year, South Carolina ended the year on a winning note.
With four players in double figures, Frank Martin’s squad secured a comfortable 97-46 win over North Greenville to end a four-game losing skid.
Freshman guard AJ Lawson led the way for Carolina with 22 points with five rebounds. Senior center Chris Silva contributed 21 points, nine rebounds, and four blocks. Freshman Keshawn Bryant added 19 points while Tre Campbell finished the contest with 11 points.
Carolina improves to 5-7 with the win. The Gamecocks will return to action on Jan. 5 when they travel to Florida for their SEC opener.
