Police officers check-in on family they helped give birth in SC parking lot

LEXINGTON, SC (WIS) - Officers with the Lexington Police Department are hired to protect and serve - and on Monday, they were there to help one couple bring a new life to the world.

In photos shared on Tuesday, two officers - Sergeant Bill Hobbs and Corporal Nic Beza - went to Lexington Medical Center to check in on baby Olivia Brock and her parents.

The tweet says the two LPD officers helped deliver the baby Monday morning in a Lexington parking lot.

Little Olivia also received a badge on her first full day of work as an adorable baby.

“Glad to see she’s healthy, happy and will always have an unusual birth story to share,” the LPD tweet said.
