Driver charged in deadly motorcycle crash

LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC (WIS) - A driver who struck and killed a motorcyclist on Platt Springs Road earlier this month has been arrested and charged in the driver’s death.

South Carolina State Trooper David Jones says Nathaniel Goodley, 54, was released from the hospital Tuesday morning and charged with felony DUI involving a death.

The crash happened on Dec. 16 around 3 p.m. in the 5100 block of Platt Springs Road. The collision killed 70-year-old Leonard P. Morrow when he was hit head-on by a vehicle when it entered the roadway and crossed through the median.

Goodley is scheduled to have a bond hearing on Tuesday.

The collision remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol. Check back for more updates.
