LYNCHBURG, SC (WIS) - The Lee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man Friday night after leading deputies on a high-speed chase.
The driver of the car sped down Highway 76 and made his way to Back Swamp Road. During the chase, the driver lost control of the vehicle on a curve and crashed. The driver, however, was not injured and ran into the woods after crashing the vehicle.
A Lee County K-9 unit was dispatched to the area and found the driver hiding in a tree.
The man, whose identity has not been released at this time, refused to receive medical attention after being brought out of the woods.
He was transported to the Sumter-Lee Regional Detention Center.
