A city tradition: Holiday ICE Skate Party

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Saturday made for the perfect day to glide through the holiday season at Columbia’s Holiday ICE Skate Party.

The event was one of two family-friendly events at Holiday ICE, the City's outdoor ice skating rink at Columbiana Centre. Hosted by Columbia Parks & Recreation to celebrate the holiday season, the party featured music, refreshments, an ugly sweater contest and giveaways. Event organizers say the Ice Skate party fit right in with a day of holiday shopping.

“Come out and have a good time. It’s a great holiday tradition," said Columbia Parks & Recreation public relations manager Shireese Bell. "The holidays are right around the corner. So, you can come and do some shopping, eat a little bit. Then, come burn off those calories here at Holiday Ice.”

Jingle Fest is coming up December 22 and will feature Santa’s Corner, a children’s craft station led by Santa’s helpers from the Columbia Art Center.

This is included with your admission to Holiday Ice: $10 or $8 for active duty military and seniors (55 and older).
