COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Wave goodbye to the sunshine as we see increasing clouds today, followed by more rain for Friday in the forecast.
First Alert Weather Headlines:
· Highs today in the 50s to near 60 with filtered sunshine
· Highs on Friday in the 50s with heavy rain at times. Can’t rule out a thunderstorm or two. It’s an Alert Day!
· A few lingering showers into Saturday with highs in the 60s

First Alert Weather Story:
No issues for your Thursday with highs that eventually get into the upper 50s to low 60s. Some sunshine to kick off the day but more clouds roll in as the day moves on. An isolated shower is possible this evening, but most of the rain holds off until after midnight.
Lows tonight get into the 50s with periods of rain that may be moderate to heavy at times.
More rain moves in for Friday. In fact, Friday is an Alert Day. We are tracking an area of low pressure from the west that will bring periods of heavy rain to the Midlands. An isolated thunderstorm or two could develop. We’ll keep an eye on it. But for most of us, we’ll see a good drink of water. Turn around, don’t drown! Some localized flooding is possible. We could see between 1 and 2 inches of rain Friday into Saturday morning.
Saturday will feature a few scattered showers early in the day before drying out for the afternoon. Otherwise, expect mostly cloudy skies. Highs will be in the 50s on Friday and the low 60s for Saturday.
